Good portion sizes, quick service and delicious food.
We really liked our nopales and chorizo burritos. The chocolate flan was super tasty too!

Taqueria Talavera was good! I’m a burrito person and decided to try a different type of burrito instead of my regular carne asada. I decided to go with the specialty Mole burrito and it was spicy and flavorful, I was shocked how good it was. They had music playing also, so while you wait for your food you can could enjoy the music. The service was fast and efficient although I showed up close to closing time, I would for sure eat here again.

The city of Albany has many great culinary gems and food s often overlooked. Today we indulged on Mexican cuisine at Talavera. The welcome greeting started things off. The staff was smiling and happy which really helped to turn our day around. There are daily specials posted and a robust menu of quality made to order dishes. We love family businesses and this family really has it together.

Its restaurants like this that causes me to constantly question how does an establishment like Taco Bell exist in the Bay Area? This isn't to diss your preferences if you love Taco Bell. But I am saying is Talavera Cocina Mexicana is not only affordable but almost criminally priced because it's truly that good.

The burritos and nachos are sublime. This restaurant also makes great pastries. I have been occasionally stopped by for years now, and I can't believe I've taken this long to praise such an amazing restaurant with truly friendly staff.

If you haven't visited this place, and love Mexican food, you owe it to yourself.
