Taqueria Talavera was good! I’m a burrito person and decided to try a different type of burrito instead of my regular carne asada. I decided to go with the specialty Mole burrito and it was spicy and flavorful, I was shocked how good it was. They had music playing also, so while you wait for your food you can could enjoy the music. The service was fast and efficient although I showed up close to closing time, I would for sure eat here again.
The city of Albany has many great culinary gems and food s often overlooked. Today we indulged on Mexican cuisine at Talavera. The welcome greeting started things off. The staff was smiling and happy which really helped to turn our day around. There are daily specials posted and a robust menu of quality made to order dishes. We love family businesses and this family really has it together.
Excellent mexicain restaurant.
The food was oh so good
The staff was really kind.
We spent a really good time here
Thank you everyone in talavera cocina mexicana
I write this review really disappointed because I swear by this place and loyally go whenever I feel like having Mexican food, but tonight I ordered enchiladas with beef and threw one out. The beef was one huge piece, chewy, fatty, AND tasted off, like plastic or chemical. It was inedible. I don’t think I’ll be going as frequently or ever ordering the beef enchiladas again. Big bummer
Personally, I call this place "Cada Vez" because in my experience, they simply do not miss.
Large menu with everything available all day long. Fresh ingredients. Homemade postres. Even give you choices on the self serve water: plain or citrus infused. Several agua frescas. Beer, wine, margaritas. Secret menu items posted on the counter. Seating outdoor and indoor. (Pro tip: if you want more quiet and don't mind it being a tad bit warmer, grab a seat on the indoor balcony floor. Love the vibe of going behind the counter to get upstairs.)
This place is a well oiled machine with a big beating heart. True to the name, the visual aesthetic is light, airy and homey.
Right at Solano and Peralta, adjacent to an itty bitty placita and cute toddler park.
IMO, they don't just earn business at Talavera -- they deserve it.
